Pokemon Go April 2025 Events

Hello Trainers,

Hope you all enjoyed the March contents in Pokemon Go, personally I liked the fact that it was a quieter month, I even skipped some events – it was nice change of pace after the stacked February. Now let’s see what’s for us in April !

First there will be 2 shiny debuts with Blacephalon and Stakataka, both in raids between April 9th-21st with the former only spawning in the Western Hemisphere and latter in the Eastern one. Both are quite cool in my opinion, especially the Blue Disco clown, reminds me of Daft Punk honestly 🪩🪩

Also in the raid rotation are Tapu Lele (with Nature’s Madness) and Cresselia, both good in PVP so if you’re looking to build them it’s the time ✅

Another Pokemon debut for April is Mega Audino, which gets its Mega Raid Day on April 5th (yes it’s today, I was late to post this 😅) – the others Mega Pokemon for this month are Blaziken, Sceptile and Mawile.

I realize there are lots of Pokemon debuts in April as we get all forms of Paldean Tauros during the Stunning Styles Event (3rd-7th) : Aqua (Western Hemisphere), Blaze (Eastern Hemisphere) and Combat (Iberian Peninsula) – all of them in Tier 3 raids.

As for Max Battles, the biggest surprise is the addition of Gmax Snorlax for Max Battle Day (19th), we all thought it was gonna be Gmax Machamp as we saw it in the season trailer, I guess we’ll get that in May – a bit disappointing to get Machamp after Snorlax as it would have been a nice counter for it but maybe they wanted to keep Snorlax more challenging. Or maybe it was an oversight from the devs, I guess it’s possible too 😅

Following Dmax Raikou in March, we get another legendary dog cat with Dmax Entei during Max Battle Weekend (26th-27th) – Seriously, why people call them dogs, I mean look at Entei’s face, it’s clearly based of a Lion 🦁🦁

One thing to note which is not shown in the infographic made by G47IX is the addition of the monthly Go Pass, free and paid, that rewards us with various items but most importantly the Lucky Trinket – introduced during the Unova Tour, which lets you become lucky friend with any trainer that you are at least Great Friend with. This reward is reserved for the Deluxe Go Pass.
